Kahuku is a small town located on the North Shore Oahu, Hawaii. The town has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s when it was first settled by Polynesians. Over the years, Kahuku has been home to various industries, including sugar cane and pineapple plantations, and has played significant role in the development of Hawaii economy. Today, Kahuku is known for its beautiful beaches, world surfing, and laid-back island lifestyle.

Nestled between Laie and Turtle Bay, like shrimp? Then Kahuku is the place to go. Here you'll find numerous shrimp trucks parked alongside the main street that runs through the town. 

Did you know, the name Kahuku means “the projection” in Hawaiian. Presumably, it referred to Kahuku Point – which is at the tip itself. Kahuku, on the island of Oahu, is a community of just under 3,000 residents living in an area of 2.3 square miles. Kahuku is situated on the coast and extends inland to the Kea'Aulu Gulch.
