WHEN IT COMES TO TERMITES,

WE TAKE THE HIGH GROUND

Ka'a'awa is a delightful town situated on the eastern coast of Oahu in the Koolauloa district. The town's name often baffles visitors due to its three consecutive vowels. However, the name is written with two okina, which are a letter in the Hawaiian language, indicating that each vowel must be pronounced distinctly. "Ka'a'awa" translates to "the yellow wrasse fish" in Hawaiian, which is a prevalent reef fish in Hawaii.

In 1941 during World War II, the U.S. military occupied the land, which became the site of Kualoa Airfield. After the war the ranch was returned to the Morgan family, the owners who were descendants of Dr. Judd.[3]

In 1850, Dr. Gerrit P. Judd, an American doctor and missionary, made a significant investment by purchasing 622 acres of ranch land at Kualoa for just $1,300, along with the nearby island of Mokoliʻi, from King Kamehameha III. Dr. Judd was instrumental in translating medical journals into Hawaiian for the king earning his deep gratitude. By 1860, he expanded his holdings by acquiring an additional 2,200 acres. In 1880, his son Charles continued the family's legacy by another 1,188 acres, bringing the total land ownership to around 4,000 acres today.

Justin Duny Licensed & Certified Termite Specialist Says:

Termites can be a serious problem for homeowners here in Hawaii.  "Termites can cause such extensive damage to properties, that it can cause partial or total collapse. If you're fortunate enough to have never dealt with termites consider yourself lucky." - Justin Duny

Termites can cause significant damage to homes, with an estimated cost of $5 billion to $10 billion per year. To protect investment, it's important take steps to prevent termite infestations. In fact, some states require termite protection on new homes as part of their building codes. For example, all homes in Hawaii are required to have some form of termite protection.

TOUGHER THAN TERMITES

Delaying treatment can escalate costs dramatically. In extreme cases, homes can suffer so much damage that they become unsafe. Additionally, homes with histories of termite issues experience drops in resale value. Potential buyers may be reluctant to invest in a property marked by pest damage, which can further complicate your financial situation.
